NAWBO Iowa offers three monthly events, each with a different format and purpose.
COFFEE & CONNECTION
Coffee & Connection offers members and guests a casual way to build relationships, share what they do and learn more about other women business owners.
Coffee & Connection is held from 8:30–10 a.m. on the third Friday of each month. There is no cost to attend, and all are welcome.
WOMEN & INFLUENCE
Women & Influence brings members, corporate partners and guests together for an informal happy hour and meaningful networking at the end of the workday.
Women & Influence is held from 4:30–6 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month. There is no cost to attend, and all are welcome.
MONTHLY LUNCH HOUR PROGRAMS
Monthly Lunch Hour Programs provide educational and professional development opportunities for women business owners. Programs feature member and guest speakers, panel discussions and other interactive learning experiences.

PRESENTER OPPORTUNITIES
NAWBO Iowa’s mission is to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power. Quality programming is an important part of that mission.
Our educational programs are designed to address the real challenges women business owners face while providing practical ideas they can use in their businesses. Programs should offer value to current members while also welcoming and engaging other women business owners in our communities.
Based on feedback from our members, NAWBO Iowa’s programming priorities include:

Employees: Staffing, recruiting, retention, performance reviews, delegation, motivation, engagement, human resources and contract employees

Business development: Prospecting, increasing sales, strengthening sales skills, customer retention, reaching younger audiences, business growth, building key relationships, developing advocates and overcoming rejection

NAWBO Iowa educational programs may be offered in person or virtually. We welcome proposals from qualified speakers who can provide practical, relevant and engaging information on these or related topics.
