Carol Lunde is a real estate agent and notary at Keller Williams of Greater Des Moines.

Please tell us about your background.

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but I grew up in Marietta, Georgia. I later graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1988, with a bachelor’s degree in communications. I married my husband that same year, on October 8. Together we bought our first house in 1990. We did a lot of renovations to it in 2000, expanding the 1,400-square-foot space to 2,400 square feet. We have two adult children.

Please tell us about your business.

I've worked in the male-dominated fields of the steel industry and instrumentation sales. I chose to go into real estate six years ago, and now have a thriving business. I love to work with buyers and sellers of residential real estate.

Why did you join NAWBO Iowa and what do you appreciate about it?

I like connecting with the women in the group, as they care about others and how they can help others. They all have established businesses and are super friendly. 

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

I enjoy the flexibility of my schedule; I can have lunch with a friend and meet with clients on their schedule. I also like that I can earn enough to travel with my family. 

What are you most looking forward to in 2023?

I’m looking forward to helping 30 families into and out of houses, traveling with my family and playing golf with the ladies at Waveland Golf Course.
