Say hello to Sarahpearl Followill, Owner of SP Salon in Windsor Heights.
Please tell us about your background.
I grew up in Windsor Heights and had a rough start. I attended an alternative school and eventually earned my GED. Later, I went to Kaplan University and received an AAS in Criminal Justice. I thought I wanted to become an attorney, so I attended DMACC for paralegal certification, but it wasn’t the right fit for me. At 27, I attended ISB for hair, and the rest is history.
Please tell us about your business.
I own a full-service chair rental salon in Windsor Heights. Previously, I spent 8+ years at Trixies salon and after leaving , I rented a chair in the east village. On January 6th I opened SP Salon!
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I love people. I love helping whoever sits in my chair forget their problems, feel confident, and feel truly cared for.
Why did you join NAWBO Iowa and what do you appreciate about it?
I want to connect with other woman business owners and want to grow as an entrepreneur. I want to know the keys to success.
What are you most looking forward to in 2026 and beyond?
I’m looking forward to growing my business and starting my nonprofit. I also plan on buying a new house and vacationing this year!
What does NAWBO mean to you?
To me, NAWBO Iowa means women business owners who can help me grow, help me learn, and help me succeed.
