Please tell us about your background.
Originally from Houston and raised in Iowa, I graduated from Bellevue University and moved to Des Moines in 2018 with my two boys. I currently work as a business coach, helping entrepreneurs start and grow their ventures, while also building my own specialty coffee brand, Más Café.
Please tell us about your business.
Más Café is a specialty coffee brand focused on roasting and selling high-quality coffee. Our coffee is available online and can be found on the shelves of Nadia's Bakery, Nos Books, and DMACC Urban Campus Cafe. We also provide coffee catering services for events, conferences, and gatherings. I am passionate about creating connections through coffee while supporting entrepreneurship and community engagement.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I truly enjoy connecting with people and being part of the moments that bring communities together. Whether I'm providing coffee at an event or helping entrepreneurs through business coaching, I love creating experiences that leave a positive impact.
Why did you join NAWBO Iowa and what do you appreciate about it?
I joined to connect with other women entrepreneurs who understand the challenges and rewards of operating a business. Having a network of supportive, knowledgeable women has been incredibly valuable. I appreciate the opportunities to learn from other NAWBO members, build meaningful relationships, and gain access to resources that help Más Café grow. NAWBO also creates a welcoming environment where women genuinely want to see one another succeed!
What does NAWBO Iowa mean to you?
NAWBO represents community, empowerment, and opportunity. It is a place where women business owners can learn, grow, and support one another while building lasting relationships.
What are you most looking forward to in 2026 and beyond?
I'm looking forward to continuing the growth of Más Café and expanding our presence at events throughout Des Moines and surrounding cities. I'm also excited to build new partnerships, meet more entrepreneurs, and continue supporting small business development in our communities.
