Please tell us about your background.
I'm an Iowa native who grew up in a small town called near central Iowa. I went to the University of Northern Iowa and when I couldn't find the major I wanted to, I worked with them to create my own major (Professional Communications & Design) which helped inform a new school offering called Digital studies. From there I moved into a marketing career moving between agencies and in-house roles and exploring every facet of digital marketing, focusing especially on social media and email marketing.
Please tell us about your business.
The Fix Collective works with founder-driven businesses to turn scattered content efforts into a marketing system that scales with them. We focus on messaging, content creation, and overall workflow improvements. Far too many businesses aren't putting out their best content because it sits inside the founder's head. We change that and make sure you're not just seen, but you stand out in a sea of average. Whether that's on their website, social media, email, or anywhere else online.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
My business brings together two of my greatest loves: writing and small businesses. Even though we work with companies as large as 1000 employees, most days I'm helping teams of 5 or fewer grow their business. The ability to step into their world to best understand how to create the right graphics, captions, and overall content strategy to represent them and speak to their audience isn't something I'll ever get tired of.
Why did you join NAWBO Iowa and what do you appreciate about it?
I've always been a huge advocate for women in business and once I found out about NAWBO and what it works to do for us I had to join. I appreciate that I'm able to meet business owners who otherwise I may never have crossed paths with. It opens doors to new connections, collaborations, and more.
What does NAWBO Iowa mean to you?
NAWBO isn't just another #GirlBoss group. As an organization it's working regularly to help women-owned businesses access more, learn more, and expand their businesses further than they could alone.
What are you most looking forward to in 2026 and beyond?
In the next year I plan to launch more initiatives designed to help a wider selection of founders. Too many business owners are silent online when they have ideas, insights, and expertise that the world needs to hear, and I'm ready to officially change that by helping them find their real POVs that no one can copy and only they can own.
