Lacey Gibson is a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, a financial services company that specializes in financial planning, insurance and investments.
Please tell us about your background.
I grew up in Dallas, Texas, and I received my telecommunications degree from Pepperdine University in L.A. Following graduation I spent nine years in the events industry, in sales and production in Austin, Texas. I joined Northwestern Mutual in 2020. Since starting with Northwestern Mutual I have been able to use my love of planning and numbers to help people nationwide achieve their financial goals, as well as joining the leadership team in Westlake Village, California. I am passionate about working with families and educating women. When I’m not in the office, you can find me with my partner Scott and our dog, Paxton. I enjoy cooking, traveling, spending time with family and skiing in the mountains.
Please tell us about your business.
I help my clients by managing and building upon their current situations and needs while allowing them to see their visions come to fruition through effective planning for their future.
I specialize in providing strategic, comprehensive advice to help families and women relieve financial anxiety and provide a roadmap to their dreams.
I understand that financial planning must be catered to individual needs and goals, and I want to relieve any financial anxiety someone may have.
Why did you join NAWBO Iowa and what do you appreciate about it?
I am excited to be a new member of NAWBO and dive into the Iowa community. I am looking to build meaningful relationships both personally and professionally within this community all while learning from others. Additionally, NAWBO has an unparalleled reputation that aligned with my own personal standard of excellence.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
The best part of my job is helping someone to realize that their goals are achievable. I love getting calls saying, "We are buying the house we planned for," or hearing a client’s child can go to college knowing they will not have any student debt because of our planning.
Ultimately, my goal as a financial "trainer" is to empower my clients by aligning intentions with meaningful actions through proactive and tax-efficient planning, to help ensure they reduce economic vulnerability and build enough wealth to live their best lives, now and in the future.
What are you most looking forward to in 2022?
In 2022, I am excited to meet new people and impact as many lives as possible in this community. Additionally, I will be welcoming my first child in November and look forward to what motherhood brings.
