Meet Rebekah, Founder and Principal Consultant of Elevated Strategies LLC.
Please tell us about your background.
I grew up in Ankeny and studied music performance at Cedarville College in OH before earning a BA in Business Communications. After 20 years in PR, project, and client management at ad agencies and Meredith Publishing, I launched Elevated Strategies to partner directly with values-led leaders. Outside of work, I share life with my husband Larry (29 years strong), am proud of our two young adult kids, and enjoy serving on nonprofit boards.
Please tell us about your business.
Elevated Strategies works with a wide range of organizations to align vision with smart execution. We lead strategic initiatives, change management, support communications, marketing, and program execution to strengthen strategy and systems. Whether launching something new or refining what already exists, we partner with leaders to simplify complexity and scale with intention.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Partnering with leaders to clarify and operationalize their mission, business endeavors, and vision, then building the strategy, marketing, or systems that turn into momentum. I love helping organizations grow from the inside out, creating a strong foundation that supports purpose and performance. No two days are ever the same, and there's nothing more rewarding than watching a client thrive, a new program launch, or an event shine a spotlight that mobilizes the next chapter of growth.
Why did you join NAWBO Iowa and what do you appreciate about it?
I was invited to NAWBO by several business owners I deeply respect, leaders I've collaborated with or leaned on as trusted client resources. As a solopreneur, I'm excited to deepen those relationships and be part of a community that champions women's leadership, business ownership, and shared learning. It's energizing to grow alongside fellow founders while expanding my impact to client partners through advocacy and connection.
What are you most looking forward to in 2026 and beyond?
Momentum! 2025 brought challenge and transformation, and we responded by building frameworks that help leaders, teams, and nonprofits move forward with clarity, confidence, and care. I'm excited to see strategies take root in 2026, turning plans into systems and marketing campaigns that drive growth & impact. AI is fueling momentum, and I'm deepening my understanding of how to operationalize it to support organizations with resource-conscious innovation.
What does NAWBO mean to you?
NAWBO represents a community of bold, generous, and visionary women who are building businesses with purpose. For me, it's a space to deepen long-standing relationships, learn alongside fellow founders, and stay connected to the advocacy and innovation shaping our region. As a solopreneur, I value being part of a network that celebrates growth and reminds us we're never building alone.
