This month, we're featuring Jean M. Jones, President of Lil Brother Construction, located in Des Moines, IA.

I grew up in the Des Moines metro area. I attended Dowling and Ankeny high schools and got my degrees in Human Services and Public Administration from the University of Upper Iowa.
 
Please tell us about your business.
Lil Brother Construction has been servicing Polk, Dallas and Warren counties residence with their Home Remodeling, Maintenance and Handyman needs since 2008. We are fully insured and guarantee our work. We promise unmatched transparency and dependable service. We are blessed to enjoy an 85- 90% repeat and referral customer base and we strive every day to work as if, "We are working for God, not Men." Col 3:23-24
 
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I love the people I get the honor of interacting with every day. No matter if it is our staff, vendor or helping our customer to find their perfect solution to home remodeling needs in a budget that if affordable for them. I love letting my faith shine through our actions.
 
Why did you join NAWBO Iowa and what do you appreciate about it?
I joined NAWBO for the camaraderie of follow women business owners. I appreciate the deep friendship and the support of our NAWBO sisterhood.
 
What does NAWBO mean to you?
I love NAWBO-Iowa Chapter. I know that if I have a problem, I have a sisterhood that I can turn to for resources, knowledge, experience and most of all encouragement and support. We are a band of women entrepreneurs that want to help other women business owner to be successful not just in business but in life.
 
What are you most looking forward to in 2025 and beyond?
This year will be full of challenges and blessings. I am looking forward to developing strategies that will allow our company to grow through these challenges and develop high levels of professionalism and increase our blessings to others in our community more through our non-profit organization (the Bryce Milligan Charity Foundation).
